TrueFunnelBot - WebsiteTracker Crawler

TrueFunnelBot is an automated website scanning crawler operated by TrueFunnel, LLC. The bot powers the WebsiteTracker product and scans websites exclusively on behalf of authorized site owners.

Purpose

WebsiteTracker performs automated scans of publicly accessible website content to identify:

  • Publicly accessible links and pages
  • Forms and input fields
  • Contact information
  • Privacy policies
  • Technical site metadata

The crawler does not attempt to access restricted areas, bypass authentication, exploit vulnerabilities, or perform intrusive actions.

Authorization

WebsiteTracker only scans websites that have been explicitly submitted or approved by the website owner through a contractual agreement with TrueFunnel.

User-Agent

TrueFunnelBot/1.0 (WebsiteTracker; +https://truefunnel.com/crawler)
  • The User-Agent is consistent and does not rotate
  • It does not impersonate browsers or other bots
  • Version changes are infrequent and documented

Behavior

  • Requests are rate-limited per domain
  • Randomized delays are applied between requests
  • Automatic backoff is applied on HTTP 403, 429, or server errors
  • Crawling is limited to publicly accessible pages

robots.txt

WebsiteTracker attempts to respect robots.txt directives where applicable.

When a site owner has explicitly authorized scanning that conflicts with robots.txt, access may still occur under contractual permission.

IP Addresses

WebsiteTracker operates from a specific IP address: 3.147.215.62 using cloud infrastructure owned by TrueFunnel.

We do not crawl from residential, proxy, or consumer VPN networks.
